Server
local database
Point this app at a TradeDash server so one always-on host owns the portfolio, runs the background work and can reach you when you are not at this machine.
While connected, this app opens no database of its own: every screen reads the server's. That means the portfolio is the same from a phone, a browser and here — and it means the app does not work offline. Notifications the server decides to send are relayed here and raised as desktop toasts, which is the one thing a container cannot do for itself.

Stored encrypted for your Windows account and attached to requests by the app itself, so it never enters the page. Leave blank for a loopback server started without one.

Automation
What TradeDash does without being asked, and what it costs. Everything here reads the local database unless the row says otherwise.

Market data providers
Which providers this build can reach, what each one can answer, and where a key is needed. Keys are encrypted by the core and never sent back to this window.

Reading the provider registry…

Data
Your portfolio lives in a single database file on this machine. Nothing is synced anywhere, so a backup is the only copy that survives losing it.

Export

A backup can only be read by TradeDash. CSV opens in a spreadsheet and is what an accountant will ask for. It downloads to this device.

Signals
Which timeframe the scheduled scan sweeps, and whether it runs at all.

Runs every fifteen minutes during market hours. On the daily timeframe that is one sweep after the close; on an intraday one it is roughly 780 provider requests a day for a portfolio of thirty instruments. Yahoo publishes no rate limit and enforces with an IP block, so this is worth turning on deliberately.

Rules
Which rules the scan runs, and the numbers they compare against. Changing one takes effect on the next scan; it does not rewrite signals already recorded.

Notifications
When TradeDash is allowed to interrupt you. These gates apply to every channel — 3am is 3am whether the alert would have arrived by toast or by email.

Off until you turn it on. Covers new and regressed review findings, expiring options, a negative cash balance and the scheduled-task watchdog; signals and news are per-channel choices below.

A fill at 3am is not actionable. Crypto is exempt — it genuinely trades then — and so are operational alerts like the watchdog.

Quiet hours are read in this clock. -300 is US Eastern in winter, 60 is Central European, 600 is Sydney. A fixed offset only: daylight saving is not tracked, because being an hour out twice a year is a far smaller error than a UTC-hosted server silencing your whole trading day.

0 to 1, and the default channel threshold. 0.75 admits critical and high-severity findings and excludes the rest.

A market that gaps produces a dozen correlated alerts in one scan. Counted per channel, from when each was actually sent.

Used to build the link a notification opens. Left empty, alerts carry no link — which is deliberate: the server cannot learn its own public address from anything an attacker does not control, and a link to the wrong host is worse than none.

Channels
Each channel has its own switch, threshold and hourly cap. Configuring one is the opt-in; the switch is the off-switch.

Price alerts
Fires when the price crosses the threshold, not merely while it is past it — so setting an alert above the current price does not notify you straight away, and one set below it waits for the price to come back. Alerts use the channels and quiet hours configured above.

Recent deliveries
What was sent, to where, and why not. A suppression records its reason and a failure records the provider's.
Assistant
What the assistant is allowed to draft, and what it costs.

Off by default. When on, the assistant can draft a trade suggestion you open and accept — accepting records a tracked idea and places no order and writes nothing to your ledger, because this application has no brokerage connection. While off, the tool is not shown to the model at all. This is not financial advice.

Off by default: narration costs money, and a report generated while you are asleep would spend it without you seeing the result. With this off, a report is narrated only when you ask, and an unchanged report reuses the previous narration for free.
